This article outlines provisions for utilizing wood framing in up to 6-storey construction, generally aimed at the residential condominium market. While not directly relate-able to house construction, there are many common techniques and considerations described that are becoming more commonplace in house construction, both with new seismic requirements introduced in the 2012 BC Building Code, and more common requirements for rated fire separations in single family dwellings with legal secondary suites.
